The Season Has Started – Back on Snow, and Back to Work

The ski season is already underway, and I’ve completed two training camps at Juvass – totaling nine valuable days on snow. It’s always an amazing feeling to get back into it, especially when your body is responding well and motivation is high.
The next training block on snow is in June, followed by a short break from skiing in July.
Right now, I’m based in Oslo – and there’s one focus: dryland training. I’m doing up to 10 sessions a week, with full attention on strength, mobility, explosiveness, and endurance. This is the foundation – the work that truly counts when winter comes and hundredths of a second decide the outcome.
I know this is the time of year where I can grow the most. When I get to focus on the basics, I also sharpen the small details that make the difference at a high level in alpine skiing.
The goal is clear: to keep developing and perform even better in the European Cup, Norwegian Championships, and hopefully get a shot in the World Cup.
With the support of strong alpine partners, I’m well prepared for the journey ahead.
Thanks for following my path here on mattalarsen.com – I look forward to sharing more along the way!– Mathias
