My name is Mathias Skaaland Larsen, and I’m an alpine skier from Norway with big dreams and a true passion for the sport. I’m 21 years old and fully committed to slalom racing in the FIS and European Cup circuits – where the margins are tiny, and every hundredth of a second counts.

For me, skiing isn’t just a sport – it’s a way of life. That moment in the start gate, just me, my skis, and the mountain – that’s when I feel most alive.

I’ve worked hard for every single step forward. After years of focused training, I’ve climbed from rank 369 to 61st in the world in slalom, currently holding 16 FIS points and several strong results from this past season. I’ve won 6 races, stood on the podium 10 times, and I truly believe the best is still ahead of me.

But no one achieves this alone. I’m incredibly grateful for the support I’ve received – from coaches, family, and sponsors. I’m also proud to represent Hemsedal IL, the club that gave me my foundation and showed me the value of community in sport.

This season, I’m fully focused on competing in European Cup slalom races and establishing myself among the top 20 in the discipline. I’ve launched this website to share my journey, build partnerships, and connect with people who believe in young athletes with big ambitions.

Looking ahead, my long-term goal is crystal clear:
To represent Norway at the World Championships on home snow in Narvik in 2029. That dream fuels me – through every training session, every early morning, and every single turn between the gates.
