Growing up in Hemsedal – A Strong Foundation for My Alpine Skiing Career

Growing up in Hemsedal has been a huge advantage for me as an alpine skier. The mountain village offers unique opportunities for ski training from a young age, and the community around Skistar Hemsedal and Hemsedal IL has played a vital role in my development.

Hemsedal IL has consistently provided excellent conditions for training and competitions. Through the club, I've experienced the joy of alpine skiing in a supportive and secure environment. Skistar Hemsedal has enabled training at high-quality facilities—right outside my door.

What I value most is the sense of community. Volunteer spirit in sports is deeply rooted in Hemsedal, with parents actively involved as coaches, slope helpers, drivers, and supporters cheering everyone on. Without this engagement, many of us wouldn't have had the opportunity to pursue our dreams.

I'm incredibly grateful for everything Hemsedal has given me, and proud to have grown up in a place where sports, nature, and community spirit are so deeply interconnected.
